Job Requirements

  • At least 6 months experience in a similar job capacity preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly with managers and kitchen and dining room personnel
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time
  • Oregon Food Handlers Card within 30 days of employment

  • Must be able to communicate clearly with managers and kitchen and dining room personnel
  • Knowledge of standard cooking methods and portion sizes
  • Understanding of health code and safe food-handling procedures
  • Ability to follow recipes and prepare food to quality standards
  • Capability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Oregon Food Handlers Card within 30 days of employment

Job Duties

  • Refer to Daily Prep List at the start of each shift for assigned duties
  • Know and comply consistently with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures
  • Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station area
  • Possess full understanding of health code standards and safe food-handling procedures
  • Follow proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes
  • Handle, store and rotate all products properly
  • Use Standard Recipe book for preparing all products
  • Maintain proper cooling charts and labeling of prepped foods according to restaurant standards
  • Close the kitchen
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Clear tables after guests leave
  • Maintain bus-tubs, glass racks, and restock glassware
  • Carry service trays and deliver food to tables
  • Inspect and clean assigned restrooms every 30 minutes
  • Maintain the floor, vestibule and outside areas with spot sweeps
  • Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, silverware, glassware
  • Maintain all restaurant equipment as directed
