Job Requirements

  • At least two years of kitchen line or back-of-house experience
  • ability to interpret and carry out recipes
  • strong broiler skills preferred
  • excellent attention to detail
  • demonstrates professional conduct and strong decision-making skills
  • adheres to appearance standards
  • at least six months of related experience preferred
  • high school diploma or GED preferred
  • food handler's certification or ability to obtain one

Job Duties

  • Assists with performance-oriented training
  • assists management with organizing, training, and ensuring correct cleaning and food handling procedures
  • upholds all DRG policies and local health and safety codes
  • adheres to standard recipes and techniques for food preparation and presentation to minimize food costs
  • assists management in achieving targeted budgets, goals, and objectives
  • demonstrates solid knowledge of policies and procedures
  • demonstrates thorough recipe knowledge and awareness of food and beverage quality and safety
  • reports any misconduct or policy violations to GM, DO, and Human Resources
  • completes all shift checklists
  • ensures restaurant profitability by operating within food cost and labor productivity guidelines
  • oversees team members to ensure food items meet recipe standards and are prepared at proper temperatures
  • evaluates products to ensure quality meets DRG standards
  • monitors BOH areas to verify compliance with opening and closing protocols
  • displays ownership of DRG’s values
