- Experience in sport or event management and/or business development capacity
- Can navigate a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Dynamic personality interested in working in, and contributing to, a fun and active sporting environment
Job Duties
- Lead recruitment effort for part-time hosts and refs
- Recruit, hire, onboard, schedule, train and evaluate excellent part-time talent to run our leagues and events
- Manage the development and presentation of staff and volunteer training
- Lead initiatives for engagement and support including pre-season training, mid-season check-ins, and end of season celebrations
- Oversee staff and volunteer feedback review and analysis
- Grow the staff and volunteer community and culture through special perks and events
- Create recruitment pipeline for part time staff
- Schedule league and event staff - including hosts and refs for adult and kids programs
- Update scheduling software to reflect completion of shifts and support payroll as needed
- Support the local payroll process as needed
- Track and evaluate performance of part-time staff
