Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age to serve alcohol
  • Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification required
  • RBS certification required
  • Ability to provide and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • High school or equivalent education
  • 3 to 5 years food and beverage operation experience
  • 1 to 2 years management experience
  • Culinary, sales and service background
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Ability to work varying schedules
  • Must maintain professional grooming standards
  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs and handle physical demands
  • Adherence to safety and security policies
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand workplace language

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of food and beverage operation experience required
  • 1 to 2 years of management experience required
  • Culinary, sales, and service background required
  • Excellent leadership and customer relations skills
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, PBX, key system, and POS
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to analyze and resolve issues effectively
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Thorough understanding of food products, recipes, and preparation standards
  • Ability to conduct meetings and maintain communication between staff and management
  • Self-driven and able to work independently

Job Duties

  • Assist planning and directing food and beverage functions within hotel outlets
  • Responsible for short and long term planning of restaurant and bar operations
  • Monitor industry trends and update menus and beverage lists accordingly
  • Participate in budget preparation and monitor department performance
  • Maintain communication with vendors and suppliers for seasonal rollouts
  • Participate in inventory counts and submit reports
  • Develop and implement revenue enhancement and cost containment strategies
  • Manage scheduling for restaurant, bar, and in-room dining teams
  • Collaborate with culinary team on menu creation
  • Consult with sales and banquet teams regularly
  • Manage payroll and time attendance for F&B staff
  • Implement control over food, beverage, and labor costs
  • Ensure consistent quality and standards of food and service
  • Conduct orders of food and beverage supplies
  • Lead and coach team to achieve guest service excellence
  • Maintain professional appearance and positive attitude
  • Review customer acceptance and recommend operational changes
  • Evaluate and improve staff performance
  • Arrange and supervise staff training and cross-training
  • Serve as role model adhering to policies and standards
