Job Requirements

  • two or more years of kitchen preparation and cooking experience
  • at least 6 months experience in a similar role
  • capability to communicate effectively with management and kitchen staff
  • physical ability to reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 40 pounds
  • physical stamina to stand for long periods up to 9 hours
  • willingness to learn and flexibility in scheduling
  • knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment including blenders, grinders, slicers, broilers, convection ovens, deep fryers, griddles, grills, microwave ovens, ranges, rotisseries, steamers, cutlery, ovens including conveyor, rotating rack, salamander, pizza, smokers
  • use of cutting machinery, domestic knives, slicing machinery
  • familiar with food safety labeling systems
  • experience with point-of-sale software
