Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Food Handlers Certification required
  • Minimum of 5 years culinary experience or culinary degree with relevant experience
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Must comply with state and safety regulations
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory responsibility preferred
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience or a culinary graduate with at least 1 year of experience in a hotel or related field
  • Food Handlers Certification required
  • Able to work effectively under pressure, maintaining composure while quickly evaluating situations and determining the best course of action
  • A strong communicator who listens actively to understand concerns raised by coworkers and guests, and effectively conveys ideas and solutions

Job Duties

  • Prepare and supervise food items with precision, ensuring every dish meets high standards of quality, portioning, and presentation
  • Lead and assist kitchen staff to maintain efficient operations and consistently deliver high-quality food and service
  • Anticipate challenges and resolve issues proactively to keep kitchen operations running smoothly
  • Share information effectively and address concerns from co-workers and guests with professionalism and clarity
  • Keep the kitchen spotless and well-organized, always meeting sanitation and safety standards
  • Take initiative by anticipating needs and acting before issues arise, keeping service seamless
  • Manage time wisely to ensure food preparation and service are prompt and on point
