Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Food Handlers Certification required
- Minimum of 5 years culinary experience or culinary degree with relevant experience
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Must comply with state and safety regulations
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Previous supervisory responsibility preferred
- At least 5 years of progressive experience or a culinary graduate with at least 1 year of experience in a hotel or related field
- Food Handlers Certification required
- Able to work effectively under pressure, maintaining composure while quickly evaluating situations and determining the best course of action
- A strong communicator who listens actively to understand concerns raised by coworkers and guests, and effectively conveys ideas and solutions
Job Duties
- Prepare and supervise food items with precision, ensuring every dish meets high standards of quality, portioning, and presentation
- Lead and assist kitchen staff to maintain efficient operations and consistently deliver high-quality food and service
- Anticipate challenges and resolve issues proactively to keep kitchen operations running smoothly
- Share information effectively and address concerns from co-workers and guests with professionalism and clarity
- Keep the kitchen spotless and well-organized, always meeting sanitation and safety standards
- Take initiative by anticipating needs and acting before issues arise, keeping service seamless
- Manage time wisely to ensure food preparation and service are prompt and on point
