Job Description
Our hotel is conveniently located just off I-95, less than two miles from The New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center and a short 20-minute drive from Rutgers University. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum five years of relevant hotel industry experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Supervisory experience
- Ability to stay calm and objective under pressure
- Must hold or obtain Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid certifications
- Willingness to work overtime as an overtime eligible manager
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Job Qualifications
- At least five years of progressive hotel experience in Rooms or Food & Beverage
- Supervisory background required
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency with Windows Operating Systems
- Ability to manage financial information and budgets
- Certifications in Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid required or to be obtained
Job Duties
- Supervise multiple departments and drive hotel profitability by managing teams and partnering with the General Manager
- Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges to ensure smooth hotel functioning
- Recruit, hire, and train Guest Services staff while supporting ongoing development programs
- Maintain clear and effective communication with colleagues and guests to address concerns and feedback
- Manage financial data and budgets to support hotel operations and profitability
- Utilize Windows Operating Systems for management tasks and reporting
- Uphold standards of professional appearance and grooming among staff
- Deliver outstanding hospitality service to guests ensuring satisfaction and positive experiences
