Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in roadway or construction signage preferred
- ability to perform physically demanding work
- familiarity with safety standards and regulations
- willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- valid driver's license
- ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team

Job Duties
- Installs and maintains traffic and directional signs along county owned streets and roadways
- assists with cutting down trees and removing brush that obstructs drivers' views
- utilizes cutting torch and welding equipment to repair signs
- assists with proper storage of sign materials, poles, paint and equipment
- responds to emergency requests for sign repair or replacement
- assists with making and maintaining customized street name signs
- inspects county roads for sign and marking maintenance needs
- places barricades for construction, road hazards, and special events
- assists various county departments with signage and pavement marking
- removes non-compliant signs and banners
- performs related duties as required
