Job Requirements

  • Treat all information as confidential
  • possess the tact to deal with all levels of situations, client representatives, employees and the public
  • must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English
  • must be able to handle multiple situations simultaneously
  • must be able to lift, stoop, squat, push, stand and/or bend throughout the shift
  • must be able to do repeated heavy lifting (up to 70 lbs.) for extended periods of time on a regular basis
  • must be able to sit, stand, lift, and/or bend throughout shift
  • must be willing and able to work in a variety of climatic conditions to include extreme heat and cold (over 100 to below 0), including high winds, rain, ice and snow
  • must pass pre-employment and random drug tests
  • must pass a criminal background check
  • must be willing and able to cope with a variety of non-routine situations to include, but not limited to, early/late flights, weather and mechanical delays, passenger assistance including accommodation/re-accommodation
  • must be a citizen of the United States or possess the necessary authorization from the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS)
  • must have clear driving record

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • computer experience preferred
  • previous customer service experience preferred
  • must be 18 years of age or older
  • must have reliable telephone and transportation
  • must have valid driver's license
  • must be detail-oriented and perform with minimal supervision
  • excellent radio and telephone skills
  • ability to communicate in English clearly and concisely verbally and in written form

Job Duties

  • Safely operate high lift trucks to load and unload catering supplies, cargo, and other materials to and from aircraft
  • adhere to all airport safety regulations and company policies
  • actively participate in the company's Safety Management System (SMS)
  • ensure proper placement and securement of loads to prevent damage during transport
  • conduct pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment to ensure it is in proper working condition
  • report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately
  • communicate effectively with ground operations staff, catering personnel, and flight crews to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
  • coordinate with other team members to optimize workflow and minimize delays
  • maintain accurate records of deliveries, including quantities, destinations, and any discrepancies
  • complete required documentation for tracking and reporting purposes
  • provide courteous and professional service to all airport personnel and flight crews
  • address any concerns or issues promptly and escalate to the supervisor when necessary
  • other duties as assigned
