Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel is an upcoming luxury hotel opening in fall 2025, designed to be a landmark destination in South Florida. Situated at 1950 Eisenhower Blvd, the hotel boasts a 29-story structure directly connected to the Broward County Convention Center. Job Requirements

  • move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 40 pounds without assistance
  • position requires frequent bending, reaching overhead, twisting, and consistent use of hands and arms
  • must be able to stand and walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift in indoor/outdoor environments

Job Qualifications

  • minimum 1-year bartending experience
  • developed knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer with experience selling and presenting wines
  • ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management, and co-workers
  • ability to accurately and efficiently input information into MICROS
  • ability to handle stressful situations, while maintaining a calm and welcoming demeanor
  • ability to work cohesively with co-workers both within and outside of your department
  • ability to prioritize, organize and follow up on guest requests and needs in a fast-paced environment
  • excellent customer service, service recovery and problem-solving skills
  • must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • follow, enforce, comply, and adhere to all Omni rules, policies, procedures, standards and recipes at all times
  • properly set-up and maintain a clean efficient bar throughout the shift
  • greet guests when entering the restaurant with a pleasant smile and superior customer service
  • take orders and answer questions/offer suggestions on both food and beverage menu selections, and daily specials
  • mix drinks for servers according to standard recipes
  • familiarity with the wine list and the stemware and appropriate garnishes used
  • follow procedures as outlined in employee manual and bartender’s manual
  • jigger pour, making drinks for servers only when rung in on Micros
  • ensure the consistency in the presentation and recipes of all cocktails
  • be familiar with and enforce all policies related to liquor liability laws
  • record transaction in MICROS system at time of order, and adhere to cash handling standards
  • be familiar with all property amenities and other restaurants
  • present accurate check to guest and process payment
  • maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day
  • polish and clean the water glasses in his/her assigned station before opening hours
  • station set-up and breakdown/side-work
