Job Requirements
- move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 40 pounds without assistance
- position requires frequent bending, reaching overhead, twisting, and consistent use of hands and arms
- must be able to stand and walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift in indoor/outdoor environments
Job Qualifications
- minimum 1-year bartending experience
- developed knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer with experience selling and presenting wines
- ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management, and co-workers
- ability to accurately and efficiently input information into MICROS
- ability to handle stressful situations, while maintaining a calm and welcoming demeanor
- ability to work cohesively with co-workers both within and outside of your department
- ability to prioritize, organize and follow up on guest requests and needs in a fast-paced environment
- excellent customer service, service recovery and problem-solving skills
- must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- follow, enforce, comply, and adhere to all Omni rules, policies, procedures, standards and recipes at all times
- properly set-up and maintain a clean efficient bar throughout the shift
- greet guests when entering the restaurant with a pleasant smile and superior customer service
- take orders and answer questions/offer suggestions on both food and beverage menu selections, and daily specials
- mix drinks for servers according to standard recipes
- familiarity with the wine list and the stemware and appropriate garnishes used
- follow procedures as outlined in employee manual and bartender’s manual
- jigger pour, making drinks for servers only when rung in on Micros
- ensure the consistency in the presentation and recipes of all cocktails
- be familiar with and enforce all policies related to liquor liability laws
- record transaction in MICROS system at time of order, and adhere to cash handling standards
- be familiar with all property amenities and other restaurants
- present accurate check to guest and process payment
- maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day
- polish and clean the water glasses in his/her assigned station before opening hours
- station set-up and breakdown/side-work
