Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in a restaurant serving role preferred
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- must be at least 18 years old
- able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- must comply with all company safety and sanitation policies
- must successfully complete Florida Responsible Vendor program
- must successfully complete food safety certification
- must be able to perform physical tasks including standing and walking for long periods, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs
Job Qualifications
- can physically stand/walk 100% of shift
- can reach, bend, stoop frequently
- able to deliver plates, and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs
- ability to speak, read and write English
- ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc
- complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan's and Florida statutes
- complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan's and Florida statutes
Job Duties
- follow all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
- support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc. as needed
- be knowledgeable regarding food and beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests' questions verbally and clearly
- accurately write down guests’ orders and enter into POS system, in a timely manner
- retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner
- ability to assess guests’ demeanor and identify when to summon a manager
- collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner
- perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework
- restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests
