Job Requirements
- Completion of food safety certification program
- Ability to stand or walk for entire shift
- Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs several times per shift
- Ability to work safely in a high-temperature kitchen environment
- Willingness to comply with company safety and sanitation policies
- Basic English communication skills
- Ability to perform assigned prep, opening and closing duties
- Commitment to teamwork and supporting colleagues
Job Qualifications
- Can physically stand or walk 100 percent of shift
- Can reach, bend, stoop
- Can immerse hands in water frequently, diluted with chemical solutions
- Ability to speak, read and write English
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs several times per shift, lift heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, freezers
- Work in damp, high-temperature environment indoors and minimally outdoors
- Work safely with hot plates, pots, pans
- Work safely with sharp knives and utensils
- Support fellow employees as needed
- Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan's and Florida statutes
Job Duties
- Follow all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
- Wash and provide clean and sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, kitchen utensils using Flanigan's sanitation policies
- Clean and sanitize throughout shift
- Maintain kitchen area cleanliness
- Sweep, mop, remove debris from floor
- Perform assigned prep work, opening/closing duties, beautification duties
- Prepare and maintain dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing
