Job Requirements

  • must be 18 years of age
  • must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
  • must possess a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance
  • must have a high school diploma or GED
  • meets requirements for employees providing direct patient care
  • must have the ability to pass a full employment background check
  • current CPR certificate is recommended
  • six months experience as a home health aide and completion of a state-approved nurse aide or home health aide course recommended

Job Duties

  • assist clients with eating, personal hygiene, dressing, shaving, and light housekeeping
  • provide companionship activities such as reading, music, and puzzles
  • remind clients to take medication and assist with prescribed range of motion exercises
  • prepare simple meals and assist with meal-related tasks
  • maintain open communication with clients and supervisory staff
  • adhere to safety guidelines including use of PPE
  • travel between client homes and manage time efficiently
