Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Possess a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Meets the requirements for employees providing direct patient care
- Must have the ability to pass a full employment background check
- Must have successfully completed a competency evaluation that meets the State licensing law for home health agencies
- Current CPR certificate is recommended
- Six months experience as a home health aide in health care and successful completion of a state-approved nurse aide or home health aide course recommended
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Six months experience as a home health aide in homes or facilities recommended
- Successful completion of a State-approved Nurse Aide or Home Health Aide course recommended
- Current CPR certificate recommended
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Competency evaluation meeting State licensing law requirements for home health agencies
Job Duties
- Provide personal care assistance including hygiene, dressing, and shaving
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks
- Offer companionship through activities like reading, music, and puzzles
- Remind clients to take medications and assist with prescribed range of motion exercises
- Support clients with dementia care
- Travel between client homes and maintain timely communication with leadership
