Job Requirements

  • Candidates must be at least 21 years old to take drink orders, mix drinks and serve alcohol
  • At least one year of bartending experience in a high volume restaurant
  • Previous hotel experience, preferred
  • Candidates must be available to work a varied schedule that includes days, weekends, and holidays
  • Candidates will be required to present proof of responsible alcohol server training (TIPS) or must be able to pass a TIPS certification within 3 months of hire
  • The physical requirements of this position include standing, walking, reaching overhead, bending, stooping, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs

Job Duties

  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas
  • Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic selections available in the restaurant including knowledge of state and local liquor regulations
  • Greet guests and take their orders (food and beverage), utilizing up-selling techniques
  • answer outlet telephone using correct greeting and telephone etiquette
  • Prepare drink orders for guests according to specified recipes using proper measuring systems
  • preparing fresh garnishes for drinks and restocking the bar with ice, supplies and alcohol
  • Accurately enter food & beverage orders into a point-of-sale system
  • process all payment methods
  • count the bank at the end of the shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure the bank
  • Ability to work with others and be a team player
