Job Requirements
- Candidates must be at least 21 years old to take drink orders, mix drinks and serve alcohol
- at least one year of bartending experience in a high volume restaurant
- previous hotel experience preferred
- candidates must be available to work a varied schedule including days, weekends, and holidays
- candidates must present proof of responsible alcohol server training (TIPS) or pass certification within 3 months of hire
- physical requirements include standing, walking, reaching overhead, bending, stooping, lifting up to 50 lbs
Job Qualifications
- Candidates must be at least 21 years old to legally serve alcohol
- at least one year of bartending experience in a high-volume restaurant
- previous hotel experience preferred
- ability to obtain or possess TIPS certification for responsible alcohol service
- excellent communication and guest service skills
- knowledge of beers, spirits, and liquor regulations
- ability to work varied schedules including weekends and holidays
- physical ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach overhead, and lift up to 50 lbs
Job Duties
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas
- maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic selections
- greet guests and take their orders, utilizing up-selling techniques
- prepare drink orders according to specified recipes using proper measuring systems
- restock the bar with ice, supplies, and alcohol
- accurately enter food and beverage orders into a point-of-sale system
- process all payment methods and complete cashier reports
- count the bank at the end of shifts and resolve discrepancies
- work effectively with others as a team player
