Job Requirements

  • Candidates must be at least 21 years old to take drink orders, mix drinks and serve alcohol
  • at least one year of bartending experience in a high volume restaurant
  • previous hotel experience preferred
  • candidates must be available to work a varied schedule including days, weekends, and holidays
  • candidates must present proof of responsible alcohol server training (TIPS) or pass certification within 3 months of hire
  • physical requirements include standing, walking, reaching overhead, bending, stooping, lifting up to 50 lbs

Job Qualifications

  • Candidates must be at least 21 years old to legally serve alcohol
  • at least one year of bartending experience in a high-volume restaurant
  • previous hotel experience preferred
  • ability to obtain or possess TIPS certification for responsible alcohol service
  • excellent communication and guest service skills
  • knowledge of beers, spirits, and liquor regulations
  • ability to work varied schedules including weekends and holidays
  • physical ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach overhead, and lift up to 50 lbs

Job Duties

  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas
  • maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic selections
  • greet guests and take their orders, utilizing up-selling techniques
  • prepare drink orders according to specified recipes using proper measuring systems
  • restock the bar with ice, supplies, and alcohol
  • accurately enter food and beverage orders into a point-of-sale system
  • process all payment methods and complete cashier reports
  • count the bank at the end of shifts and resolve discrepancies
  • work effectively with others as a team player
