Job Requirements
- At least one year of full service culinary experience in a restaurant or healthcare setting required
- Ability to work part-time schedule with flexible hours including weekends
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to food preparation
- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Willingness to adhere to company policies and procedures
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Job Qualifications

- Ability to follow standardized recipes and maintain quality food preparation
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

- Availability to work varied days and hours including weekends
Job Duties
- Learn to read menu to estimate food requirements
- Order food from supplier or procure it from storage
- Prepare and cook food in accordance with company production records and standardized recipes
- Learn to adjust thermostat controls to regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, roasters and steam kettles
- Help measure and mix ingredients according to recipes using a variety of kitchen utensils and equipment
- Bake, roast, broil and steam meats, fish, vegetables and other foods under guidance
- Test food by tasting, smelling and piercing to determine that it is cooked
- Carve meat, portion food on serving plates, and add gravies, sauces and garnishes to fill orders as directed
- Wash, peel, cut and shred fruits and vegetables and fruits
- Butcher chicken, fish and shellfish as directed
- Bake bread, rolls, cakes and pastry as course of instruction permits
- Maintain work area and equipment
- Follow principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment
- Interact with customers and coworkers in a courteous, efficient and friendly manner
- Ensure compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
