Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree from a two-year college or technical school preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum six months experience in adult teaching or training environment
  • Up-to-date instructor certifications and pilot instructor qualifications
  • Ability to maintain instructor performance standards in compliance with FlightSafety QMS processes
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements from FAA and JAA
  • Fluency in English communication both verbal and written
  • Physical capability to perform simulator and aircraft control manipulation
  • Experience in relevant helicopter lines or operations preferred
  • Ability to adapt to dynamic schedules and high-pressure situations
  • Strong organizational and management skills
  • Willingness to conduct hands-on supervision and instructor evaluations

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of six months experience in a teaching or training environment focused on adult learners
  • Knowledge of rotorcraft-helicopter operations or training
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to interact professionally at all levels of management
  • Familiarity with aviation regulations and training standards
  • Fluency in English
  • Experience in specific helicopter models preferred, such as Eurocopter AS-350, Eurocopter EC 135, or Sikorsky models

Job Duties

  • Supervise and manage day-to-day customer training activities specific to helicopter programs
  • Ensure training materials comply with all regulatory requirements and are properly maintained
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies and corporate personnel regarding approval of flight training devices and curriculum
  • Provide hands-on supervision of instructors to ensure ongoing competency
  • Maintain instructor qualifications and certifications
  • Monitor instructor performance through periodic evaluations and quality assurance observations
  • Communicate with the Learning Center’s Director of Training and Manager about scheduling, simulator status, and training documentation
  • Update and modify lesson plans, syllabi, and teaching aids as necessary
  • Conduct instructor meetings to discuss policies, procedures, and customer training issues
  • Act as a ground, flight simulator, or flight instructor as needed
