Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Federal Aviation Administration pilot certificates or appropriate military certifications
  • Evidence of military ratings or equivalent aviation experience
  • Minimum one year of relevant job or comparable military experience
  • Two years of specialized aviation experience with military aircraft
  • Ability to provide certifications and transcripts
  • Must include detailed employment dates and hours worked per week
  • Must be a current Utah Army National Guard employee for priority consideration

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Federal Aviation Administration pilot certifications or accredited military aviation certifications
  • Minimum of one year of on-the-job experience or comparable military rank
  • Two years of specialized competencies in operation of main-frame military aircraft
  • Knowledge of flight theory, air navigation, meteorology, and mission tactics
  • Experience in mission planning, preparation, and execution
  • Ability to supervise and train aviation personnel

Job Duties

  • Prepare and pilot helicopter missions according to military and FAA standards
  • Conduct preflight inspections and equipment assessments
  • Review and analyze mission tasking, intelligence, and weather information
  • File flight plans and conduct crew briefings
  • Supervise training of crew members on mission-specific tasks
  • Develop operational plans and policies and advise commanders
  • Ensure compliance with safety programs and regulatory directives
