Job Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent
- Two to five years of related experience and/or training
- Maintain weight not exceeding 250 pounds
- Be less than seventy years old
- Piloted in category for commercial operator or military within 24 months
- Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships
- Meet flight hour requirements for VFR or IFR program
- Hold commercial and instrument ratings
- Possess ATP rating in category
- Hold first or second class FAA medical certificate
- Subject to DOT/FAA drug and alcohol testing
- Regular scheduled attendance
- Willingness to travel approximately 10 percent of the time
Job Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school with two to five years related experience and/or training
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Maintain a weight not exceeding 250 pounds and be less than seventy years old
- Pilots must have flown in category for a commercial operator or military within previous 24 months
- Maintain positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals, and public
- 2000 total flight hours with minimum 1500 hours in category for VFR program
- 1000 hours PIC in category
- 500 hours of rotor wing turbine time
- 200 hours cross-country flight time including at least 50 hours at night
- 100 hours unaided night as PIC or equivalent NVG time
- 50 hours total actual or hood instrument time in flight in category for VFR
- 2500 total flight hours with minimum 2000 in category for IFR program
- 1000 hours PIC in category
- 500 hours cross-country flight time
- 100 hours night flight time
- 75 hours actual or simulated instrument time including 20 hours in actual instrument conditions in category
- Commercial and instrument rating for category and class of aircraft
- ATP rating meets requirements
- First or Second Class FAA Medical certificate required
Job Duties
- Operate Air Methods aircraft in a safe and legal manner
- Complete pre-flight inspections verifying aircraft airworthiness by signing off daily flight logs
- Maintain final authority over aircraft operations and safety of passengers, cargo, and equipment
- Be thoroughly familiar with aircraft and medical systems of backup aircraft and ensure medical teams are comfortable with medical interior and systems
- Complete all required documentation accurately and timely
- Conduct detailed flight planning on short notice to exacting standards
- Participate regularly in Air Methods meetings, community outreach, and company projects
- Perform other assigned duties as needed
