Job Requirements
- Minimum one year on-the-job experience in the grade below the next higher level or comparable military rank
- Experience in civilian or military aviation programs or Army National Guard Aviation Support or Air National Guard Wing/Operations Group
- Must submit flight records
- Must provide transcripts or certificates for education or certification requirements
- Education from accredited institutions only accepted
- Foreign education must be evaluated by recognized organizations and equivalent to accredited U.S. education

Job Qualifications
- Federal Aviation Administration certification from accredited civilian aviation program or military aviation certification
- Minimum one year on-the-job experience in the grade below the next higher level or comparable military rank
- At least two years specialized experience in operating main-frame military aircraft and mission planning
- Experience reviewing mission tasking, intelligence, and weather information
- Experience filing flight plans and conducting crew briefings
- Knowledge of aircraft preflight inspections and equipment assessments
- Experience in supervising navigation, in-flight refueling, search and rescue, surveillance and reconnaissance
- Ability to train crew members in complex mission specific tasks
- Knowledge of flight theory, air navigation, meteorology, flying directives, mission tactics, and operating procedures
- Familiarity with Department of Defense, Army, National Guard Bureau, and OSHA safety programs
Job Duties
- Operate main-frame military helicopters for various missions
- Review and analyze mission tasking, intelligence, and weather information
- File flight plans and conduct crew briefings
- Perform aircraft preflight inspections, loading, and equipment assessments
- Supervise navigation, in-flight refueling, search and rescue, surveillance and reconnaissance operations
- Train crew members in mission specific tasks
- Develop flight operation plans and policies
- Monitor flight operations and advise commanders
