Job Requirements

  • FAA Commercial Rotorcraft License
  • FAA Class II Medical Certificate
  • Minimum total flight time of 3,000 hours as pilot-in-command in a rotorcraft helicopter
  • mountain or high-density altitude experience
  • ability to operate helicopters safely in compliance with FAA and company regulations
  • strong situational awareness and decision-making skills
  • willingness to work on-site and adhere to a 4/10 alternate work schedule
  • readiness to comply with Department of Transportation drug and alcohol screening
  • ability to pass flight proficiency examination
  • willingness to relocate if necessary

Job Qualifications

  • FAA Commercial Rotorcraft License
  • FAA Class II Medical Certificate
  • Minimum total flight time of 3,000 hours as pilot-in-command in a rotorcraft helicopter
  • mountain or high-density altitude flight experience
  • instrument rating (helicopter)
  • external load (Part 133) and human external cargo endorsement preferred
  • class B, C, or D external load experience
  • wire environment awareness
  • knowledge of crew resource management (CRM) and safety culture principles
  • strong knowledge of FAA regulations and utility flight operations

Job Duties

  • Conduct all flights in accordance with FAA Part 91 and Part 133 regulations and company flight operations manual
  • maintain situational awareness and prioritize flight safety during all missions
  • perform aerial inspections, remote camera operations, and external load missions
  • maintain proficiency for specialized work methods such as human external cargo (HEC)
  • support transmission, construction, inspection, and emergency response missions
  • ensure compliance with company flight operations standards and safety protocols
  • participate in flight proficiency examinations and required safety trainings
