Job Requirements
- Must hold military grade W-1 or W-2
- Must have at least 24 months of specialized experience operating military aircraft
- Experience in mission planning, preparation, and execution
- Competence in reviewing intelligence and weather information
- Ability to conduct preflight inspections and assess aircraft loading
- Experience performing or supervising navigation, search and rescue, and reconnaissance missions
- Capability to supervise and train crew members on mission-specific tasks
- Familiarity with military and occupational safety regulations
- Education cannot substitute for specialized experience
Job Qualifications

- Skilled in aircraft preflight inspection and equipment loading

- Knowledge of Department of Defense, Army, National Guard Bureau, and OSHA safety policies and regulations
Job Duties
- Pilot a variety of rotary wing aircraft in support of mission functions
- Review and analyze mission tasking, intelligence, and weather information
- Conduct crew briefings and file flight plans
- Perform aircraft preflight inspections and equipment assessments
- Supervise navigation, search and rescue operations, or surveillance and reconnaissance
- Conduct or supervise the training of crew members in mission-specific tasks
- Develop plans and policies, monitor operations, and advise commanders on aviation matters
