Job Requirements
- Maintain a weight not to exceed 250 pounds
- be less than seventy years old
- 2500 total flight hours
- 1000 hours pilot-in-command in category
- 500 hours rotor wing turbine time
- 200 hours night flight time aided or unaided
- 100 hours instrument flight time preferred
- 2500 total helicopter time required by ALNW
- 100 hours unaided night as PIC or 50 hours unaided plus 100 hours NVG
- 75 hours actual or simulated instrument time, including 20 hours actual instrument flight in category
- compliance with step-based pay structure
- ability to work 7 days a week on 12 hour shifts
- adherence to all Air Methods employment policies
Job Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
- two to five years of related experience and/or training
- bachelor's degree preferred
- knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations
- ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships
- recent flight experience in category within 24 months
- compliance with ALNW and Air Methods requirements
- valid instrument rating for category and class of aircraft
- commercial single-engine or multi-engine certificate
- first or second class FAA medical certificate
Job Duties
- Operate Air Methods aircraft in a safe and legal manner
- complete pre-flight inspections to verify airworthiness
- serve as final authority on aircraft operation and safety
- ensure familiarity with aircraft and medical systems
- complete all required documentation
- conduct detailed flight planning on short notice
- participate in company meetings, projects, and community outreach
- perform other assigned duties
