Job Requirements
- Associate’s degree or equivalent
- two to five years related experience or training
- pilot must be less than 70 years old
- weight must not exceed 250 pounds
- maintains FAA medical certification
- complies with Federal Aviation Regulations
- regular scheduled attendance on 7/7 schedule with 12-hour shifts
- familiarity with aircraft and medical systems
- adherence to Air Methods policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
- two to five years related experience or training
- bachelor’s degree preferred
- maintains positive interpersonal relationships
- piloted in category within previous 24 months
- 2500 total flight hours with minimum 2000 in category
- 1000 hours PIC in category
- 500 hours rotor wing turbine time
- 500 hours cross-country flight time with at least 50 hours at night
- 100 hours unaided night as PIC or equivalent NVG time
- 75 hours actual or simulated instrument flight time with 50 in flight
- instrument rating for category and class of aircraft
- fixed wing multiengine rating for twin-engine aircraft
- commercial single-engine land rating for single-engine aircraft
- First or Second Class FAA Medical certificate required
Job Duties
- Operates Air Methods aircraft in a safe and legal manner
- completes pre-flight inspections verifying aircraft airworthiness by signing Daily Flight Log
- has final authority over aircraft operations and passenger safety
- ensures familiarity with aircraft and medical systems and supports medical flight team
- completes all required documentation
- conducts detailed flight planning with little notice
- participates in company meetings, projects, committees, and community outreach
- performs other duties as assigned
