Job Requirements

  • Possess and maintain FAA Commercial Rotorcraft Pilot license with Instrument Rating
  • Possess and maintain current FAA 2nd Class or higher Medical Certification
  • Provide proof of license and medical certification
  • Maintain valid motor vehicle driver's license
  • Have minimum 750 hours PIC in rotor wing aircraft with 120 hours in last 12 months and 200 hours night flight
  • Provide pilot logbook as proof
  • Maintain current FAA Flight Review in rotor wing aircraft
  • Experience operating in Class B or restricted airspace
  • Undergo all required FAA and aircraft manufacturer training
  • Pass criminal background check
  • Pass traffic record check as applicable
  • Pass consumer credit check as applicable
  • Pass reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug and alcohol tests

Job Qualifications

  • Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Commercial Rotorcraft Pilot license with Instrument Rating
  • Current FAA 2nd Class or higher Medical Certification
  • Valid motor vehicle driver's license
  • 750 hours as Pilot in Command in rotor wing aircraft including 120 hours in last 12 months and 200 hours at night
  • Experience operating in Class B or restricted airspace
  • Ability to undergo FAA and aircraft manufacturer training
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations and airworthiness directives
  • Night Vision Goggle (NVG) training preferred
  • Previous public safety, military, or law enforcement aviation experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Operate Airbus AS350B3 helicopter for aerial surveillance and search and rescue
  • Serve as Pilot-in-Command for high-risk missions including executive protection and crowd control
  • Interpret weather reports and determine safe flight routes
  • Utilize Night Vision Goggles and FLIR systems for low visibility operations
  • Transport law enforcement personnel and specialized teams as required
  • Provide live video downlink to command centers and maintain flight logs
  • Coordinate with air traffic control and other agencies
  • Report traffic conditions and potential hazards
  • Testify in court as needed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
