Job Requirements
- FAA commercial pilot rotorcraft certificate and instrument helicopter rating
- FAA second class medical certificate
- Valid driver’s license
- Minimum 2,000 total flight hours
- Minimum 1,200 helicopter flight hours
- Minimum 1,000 pilot-in-command helicopter hours
- Minimum 500 turbine helicopter hours
- Minimum 500 cross-country flight hours
- Minimum 100 night flight hours (50 unaided)
- Minimum 75 instrument flight hours (50 in flight)
- Ability to lift 40 pounds
- Ability to wear a respirator mask with proper fit if required
- Ability to maintain duty weight
- Prolonged standing, sitting, and walking
Job Qualifications
- FAA commercial pilot rotorcraft certificate and instrument helicopter rating
- Airline Transport Pilot Rotorcraft certificate preferred
- FAA second class medical certificate
- Valid driver’s license
- Minimum 2,000 total flight hours
- Minimum 1,200 helicopter flight hours
- Minimum 1,000 pilot-in-command helicopter hours
- Minimum 500 turbine helicopter hours
- Minimum 500 cross-country flight hours
- Minimum 100 night flight hours (50 unaided)
- Minimum 75 instrument flight hours (50 in flight)
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Sound judgment and objectivity in decision-making
- Leadership qualities and strong initiative
- Ability to maintain cooperative relationships with diverse customers
Job Duties
- Directly responsible for and is the final authority as to the operation of the assigned aircraft at all times
- Perform duties professionally and courteously including interaction with customers, co-workers, Metro Aviation management, and the general public
- Maintain a work and training schedule and be prepared to serve extra duty shifts when called upon
- Attend Metro Aviation or customer meetings as required
- Comply with all regulatory, company policy, and procedural directives
- Perform duties specific to Operational Control as listed in the company manual
- Conduct proper pre-flight inspections, servicing, and confirm aircraft airworthiness
- Maintain the cleanliness of the assigned aircraft
