Job Requirements
- Minimum 2,000 total flight hours
- Minimum 1,200 helicopter flight hours
- Minimum 1,000 pilot-in-command helicopter hours
- Minimum 500 turbine helicopter hours
- Minimum 500 cross-country flight hours
- Minimum 100 night flight hours with 50 unaided
- Minimum 75 instrument flight hours with 50 in-flight
- FAA Commercial Pilot Rotorcraft Certificate with Instrument Rating
- FAA 2nd Class Medical Certificate
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to lift 40 pounds
- Ability to wear a respirator mask with proper fit
- Ability to endure prolonged standing, sitting, and walking
- Ability to respond to aircraft noises
- Required to maintain a duty weight if applicable
- Must comply with all company policies and federal regulations
- Must be able to work full-time 7 on/7 off schedule with 12-hour shifts
- Metro Aviation does not sponsor visas
Job Qualifications
- FAA Commercial Pilot Rotorcraft Certificate with Instrument Helicopter Rating
- FAA 2nd Class Medical Certificate (1st Class required at some locations)
- Valid Driver's License
- Minimum 2,000 total flight hours
- Minimum 1,200 helicopter flight hours
- Minimum 1,000 pilot-in-command helicopter hours
- Minimum 500 turbine helicopter hours
- Minimum 500 cross-country flight hours
- Minimum 100 night flight hours (50 unaided)
- Minimum 75 instrument flight hours (50 in flight)
- Preferred experience in air medical operations
- Preferred experience with single pilot IFR operations
- Preferred experience with night vision goggle operations
Job Duties
- Be the final authority for the safe operation of the assigned aircraft at all times
- Perform duties professionally and courteously interacting with customers, co-workers, management, and the public
- Maintain and follow work and training schedules, including extra duty shifts when needed
- Attend Metro Aviation or customer-required meetings
- Comply with all company manuals, policies, federal regulations, and operational directives
- Perform duties related to operational control as specified
- Conduct pre-flight inspections, aircraft servicing, and maintain airworthiness
- Maintain the cleanliness of the assigned aircraft
- Uphold effective communication and professional relationships with all stakeholders
