Job Requirements
- Active membership as a Soldier in the U.S. Army Reserve
- Class A Commercial Driver’s License within 90 days of employment
- Ability to pass a suitability or fitness determination based on a completed background investigation
- Compliance with Drug Abuse Testing Program requirements
- Ability to pass a medical examination prior to employment
- Ability to obtain a Personnel Security Investigation clearance
- Ability to frequently stand, bend, reach, stretch, climb, and crouch
- Capability to work on and in tight compartments and lift items weighing up to 40 pounds frequently
- Willingness to work indoors and occasionally outdoors in variable weather conditions
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete Selective Service Registration
- Successful completion of a one-year trial/probationary period may be required
- Direct deposit of pay is mandatory

Job Qualifications
- Active membership as a Soldier in the Army Reserve
- Ability to do the work of a Heavy Mobile Equipment Repairer without more than normal supervision
- Experience performing preventive maintenance checks and services
- Experience conducting basic operational inspections to ensure vehicles are properly serviced
- Ability to operate equipment to check work
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Commitment to upholding the United States Constitution and the ideals of the American republic
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments
Job Duties
- Troubleshoot, repair, modify and maintain a variety of construction, industrial, combat, tactical and power generation equipment
- Repair and replace components of the cooling, braking, exhaust, power train, or hydraulic systems on combat and tactical, automotive, and powered support equipment
- Remove, adjust or replace defective or worn parts and components
- Perform operational inspections and ensure vehicles are properly serviced and repaired
- perform preventative maintenance checks and services
- perform minor body work
- Assist higher graded repairers in the performance of more complex repairs such as removing, repairing or replacing major components such as engines, transmissions, differentials, steering boxes, and fuel injection pumps
- Operate motor vehicles to check work
