Job Requirements
- Must hold a Class A commercial driver’s license or chauffeur’s license depending on state appropriate for vehicle weight
- must pass background check and drug testing as required by federal and state departments of transportation
- must pass DOT physical
- must be at least 21 years old
- able to sit for prolonged periods in a trailer cab
- able to lift and move up to 40 pounds
- able to travel frequently
- comply with clean shaven requirement where applicable
- pass 10-panel drug screen as condition of employment

- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points
- ability to remain focused in a busy environment

- must pass DOT physical as trucks exceed 10,000 pounds
- must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle
Job Duties
- Operate vehicle according to state and federal transportation laws
- transport loads safely and timely over required route obeying all traffic and safety regulations
- maneuver truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas following loading crew signals
- assist with or perform loading and unloading of goods and materials using specialized equipment when necessary
- maintain signed invoices shipping bills of lading and other required paperwork and deliver to appropriate staff after deliveries
- facilitate routine service on trucks including checking oil water gasoline and air and report maintenance issues to Shipping Supervisor
- arrange trailers in shipping yards for optimum loading
- perform other related duties as assigned
