Job Requirements

  • Must hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur's license depending on the state, appropriate for vehicle weight
  • Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state transportation regulations
  • Must pass DOT physical examination
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to travel frequently
  • Prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab
  • CDL drivers may be required to be clean shaven
  • Must pass a 10 panel drug screen
  • Employment contingent on passing background check

Job Qualifications

  • Hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur's license as applicable
  • Pass required background and drug tests in accordance with federal/state transportation regulations
  • Pass DOT physical examination
  • Be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicles
  • Possess strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to remain focused in busy environments

Job Duties

  • Operate vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws
  • Transport loads safely and timely over required routes, obeying traffic laws and safety regulations
  • Maneuver truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas following crew signals
  • Assist with loading and unloading goods and materials using specialized equipment when necessary
  • Maintain signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork
  • Deliver documentation to shipping office or appropriate staff after route completion
  • Facilitate routine service on trucks including checking oil, water, gasoline, and air, and report maintenance malfunctions
  • Arrange trailers in shipping yards for optimum loading patterns
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
