Job Requirements
- Must hold a commercial driver's license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur's license
- Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state transportation regulations
- Must pass DOT physical exam
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Prolonged periods sitting in truck cab
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
- Must be able to travel frequently
- CDL drivers may need to be clean shaven for certain deliveries
- Employment contingent on passing a 10 panel drug screen
Job Qualifications
- Must hold a commercial driver's license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur's license appropriate for vehicle weight
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with professional communication ability
- Ability to remain focused in a busy environment
- Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal or state transportation regulations
- Must pass DOT physical exam for vehicles over 10k lbs
- Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicles
- Experience in safely operating heavy equipment transport vehicles preferred
- Ability to work within a team and follow safety protocols
Job Duties
- Operate vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws
- Transport loads safely and in a timely manner over required routes, obeying traffic laws and safety regulations
- Maneuver truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas, following loading crew signals
- Assist with loading or unload goods and materials using specialized equipment when necessary
- Maintain signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork and deliver documentation to shipping office
- Facilitate routine truck service including checking oil, water, gasoline, and air, reporting maintenance malfunctions
- Arrange trailers in shipping yards for optimum loading patterns
- Perform other related duties as assigned
