Job Requirements

  • Must hold a commercial driver's license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur's license
  • Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state transportation regulations
  • Must pass DOT physical exam
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Prolonged periods sitting in truck cab
  • Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
  • Must be able to travel frequently
  • CDL drivers may need to be clean shaven for certain deliveries
  • Employment contingent on passing a 10 panel drug screen

Job Qualifications

  • Must hold a commercial driver's license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur's license appropriate for vehicle weight
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with professional communication ability
  • Ability to remain focused in a busy environment
  • Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal or state transportation regulations
  • Must pass DOT physical exam for vehicles over 10k lbs
  • Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicles
  • Experience in safely operating heavy equipment transport vehicles preferred
  • Ability to work within a team and follow safety protocols

Job Duties

  • Operate vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws
  • Transport loads safely and in a timely manner over required routes, obeying traffic laws and safety regulations
  • Maneuver truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas, following loading crew signals
  • Assist with loading or unload goods and materials using specialized equipment when necessary
  • Maintain signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork and deliver documentation to shipping office
  • Facilitate routine truck service including checking oil, water, gasoline, and air, reporting maintenance malfunctions
  • Arrange trailers in shipping yards for optimum loading patterns
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
