Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial services preferred
- Ability to follow detailed cleaning protocols
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines
- Willingness to comply with hospital policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and sanitation standards
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and manage waste disposal properly
- Strong communication skills to interact courteously with patients
- Attention to detail and ability to inspect work quality
- Physical ability to perform heavy cleaning tasks including moving equipment
Job Duties
- Clean patient rooms daily including dusting and damp wiping of furniture
- Service restrooms and remove refuse including regulated and medical waste
- Perform dry and wet mopping or vacuuming of floors
- Spot clean walls if visibly soiled and conduct inspection and evaluation of work
- Perform discharge cleaning as per housekeeping policies
- Clean support areas such as corridors, utility rooms, and nurses stations
- Perform floor burnishing, wall washing, moving of equipment, cubical curtain changing, window cleaning, carpet shampooing, upholstery cleaning, and floor stripping and refinishing
- Conduct cycle cleaning of surgical suites as per policy
- Perform other duties as assigned
