Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in safety management of general industry and construction environments
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Knowledge of MSHA regulations
- Leadership and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
Job Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in safety management of general industry and construction environments
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Working knowledge of MSHA regulations
- Strong leadership and proactive problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated broad conceptual judgment, initiative, and ability to handle safety issues
- Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products with proficiency in Excel
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
Job Duties
- Implement approved programs and promote loss prevention
- Execute the organization’s safety training program including delivery and scheduling
- Maintain and apply knowledge of current policies, regulations, and industrial processes
- Recommend safety features to reduce exposure to hazards
- Ensure regular inspection of facilities, job sites, machinery, and safety equipment
- Champion installation of safety devices and personal protective equipment
- Lead investigations of accidents, injuries, and occupational diseases to determine causes and preventive measures
- Review plans and specifications for construction safety requirements
- Report findings from investigations, inspections, and environmental testing
- Interview employees regarding work environments and incidents
- Implement corrective actions and track incident closure
- Participate in a rotating weekend on-call schedule
