Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or the equivalent education, training and experience
  • Culinary degree preferred
  • Five years experience as executive chef, chef in hotel, restaurant, club, or other similar employment
  • Experience in menus for restricted diets
  • Excellent oral, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge in all areas of local Health Department, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies
  • Able to meet budgets and control costs
  • Completion of a background check
  • Additional prescreening requirements such as a drug test, fingerprint, TB test, and/or physical may be required per state/local guidelines
  • The ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs occasionally

Job Duties

  • Create a beautiful, delicious, and well balanced range of meals for our residents
  • Help hire and train new Team Members, building a passion for the culinary arts
  • Assist in the preparation of meals
  • Periodically review the menu and food service with our residents to ensure satisfaction and brainstorm new menu ideas
  • Deliver a menu and service aligned with our Transforming Age culture of excellence
  • Perform other duties as assigned
