Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One-year supervisory experience in a restaurant, healthcare or hospitality setting
  • ServSafe Manager certified
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents and team members
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Complete opening and closing procedures to ensure a smooth operation
  • Supervise waitstaff to ensure efficient service
  • Ensure timely meal preparation and service in all areas
  • Plate food according to standards, including proper garnishes and accompaniments
  • Maintain communication with Health Services to track dietary changes and updates
  • Assist with receiving and checking daily deliveries, and help with monthly inventory
  • Ensure compliance with DHEC and quality standards
  • Assign and monitor cleaning duties for work areas and equipment
  • Ensure dining room service standards are met and address resident concerns
  • Supervise and operate the POS machine during meal hours, maintaining daily records for revenue and resident meal accounts
  • Consult with the Director of Culinary Services regarding resident food service and therapeutic diets
  • may assist in planning menus
