Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations
- Willingness to work full-time or part-time with flexible shift availability
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and food service procedures
- Commitment to punctuality and regular attendance
- Capability to perform physically demanding tasks such as meal cart delivery and tray removal
- Compliance with hospital and Sodexo policies and safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- Team-oriented and adaptable
- Reliable with good attendance
- Ability to work varying shifts with open availability preferred
- Zero to one year of related experience is beneficial
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to maintain a healthy and safe working environment
- Ability to operate technical equipment related to meal delivery services
Job Duties
- Effectively communicate with patients, staff and guests of the hospital to ensure accuracy and timelines of patient meal trays and floor stock
- Record the amount and type of special food
- Deliver meal carts to patient units
- Aid in the meal set-up at bedside with direct patient contact
- Discard soiled trays
- Take inventory of nourishment areas, stock when necessary and accurately operate technical equipment
- Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
- Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements
