Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous customer service or hospitality experience beneficial but not required
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of patients, staff and guests
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Availability to work varying shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, some weekends and holidays
  • Ability to handle physically demanding tasks related to meal delivery

Job Duties

  • Effectively communicate with patients, staff and guests to ensure accurate and timely delivery of patient meal trays and floor stock
  • Record the amount and type of special food
  • Deliver meal carts to patient units
  • Aid in meal set-up at bedside with direct patient contact
  • Discard soiled trays
  • Take inventory of nourishment areas and restock when necessary
  • Accurately operate technical equipment
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on client requirements
