Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and hospital staff
  • Previous experience in customer service or healthcare environment is a plus
  • Ability to handle physical tasks including delivering meal carts
  • Availability to work weekend morning shifts
  • Reliable transportation to Sharp Memorial Hospital
  • Adherence to hospital safety and hygiene protocols

Job Qualifications

  • 0-1 year of related experience is beneficial
  • Team-oriented and adaptable

  • Ability to work well with others in a hospital setting

Job Duties

  • Effectively communicate with patients, staff and guests to ensure accuracy and timeliness of patient meal trays and floor stock
  • Record the amount and type of special food
  • Deliver meal carts to patient units
  • Aid in meal set-up at bedside with direct patient contact
  • Discard soiled trays
  • Take inventory of nourishment areas and stock as needed
  • Accurately operate technical equipment
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time
  • Perform other duties as assigned depending on business needs and client requirements
