Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 0 - 1 year of related experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups
  • Availability to work varying morning, afternoon, evening shifts and rotating weekends
  • Ability to operate basic technical equipment
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality

  • Reliable with a focus on fostering a healthy and safe work environment
  • 0 - 1 year of related experience is beneficial
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to handle direct patient contact
  • Basic knowledge of inventory and equipment operation

Job Duties

  • Effectively communicate with patients, staff and guests of the hospital to ensure accuracy and timelines of patient meal trays and floor stock
  • Record the amount and type of special food
  • Deliver meal carts to patient units
  • Aid in the meal set-up at bedside with direct patient contact
  • Discard soiled trays
  • Take inventory of nourishment areas, stock when necessary and accurately operate technical equipment
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Perform other duties as assigned depending on business necessities and client requirements
