Job Requirements
- Successful completion of high school or equivalent
- 0 to 1 year of related experience preferred
- Reliable and punctual with good attendance record
- Ability to work varying shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment
- Open availability preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in healthcare hospitality or customer service role beneficial
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse populations
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Ability to manage time and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including varying days and hours
Job Duties
- Effectively communicate with patients, staff and guests of the hospital to ensure accuracy and timelines of patient meal trays and floor stock
- Record the amount and type of special food
- Deliver meal carts to patient units
- Aid in meal set-up at bedside with direct patient contact
- Discard soiled trays
- Take inventory of nourishment areas, stock when necessary and accurately operate technical equipment
- Attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
- Perform other duties as assigned
