Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work varying shifts with open availability preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to interact compassionately with patients and hospital staff
  • Basic technical skills to operate equipment
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and standing for extended periods

Job Qualifications

  • Team-oriented and adaptable
  • Reliable with a focus on creating a healthy and safe working environment
  • 0-1 year of related experience is beneficial

Job Duties

  • Effectively communicate with patients, staff and guests of the hospital to ensure accuracy and timelines of patient meal trays and floor stock
  • Record the amount and type of special food
  • Deliver meal carts to patient units
  • Aid in the meal set-up at bedside with direct patient contact
  • Discard soiled trays
  • Take inventory of nourishment areas, stock when necessary and accurately operate technical equipment
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Perform other duties as assigned depending on client requirements
