Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year of experience in food service or similar role
- Ability to supervise kitchen staff
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work full time
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain schedules

Job Duties
- Supervise the tray line ensuring the accuracy of resident trays plate presentation food safety and sanitation
- Monitor the schedule ensuring proper coverage for each shift in the absence of the Food Service Director and Assistant Food Service Director and report any problems
- Perform daily inspection in the dining areas and kitchen for safety and sanitation
- Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase foodstuffs
- Receive and examine foodstuffs and supplies to ensure quality and quantity meet established standards and specifications
- Supervise personnel engaged in preparing cooking and serving meats sauces vegetables soups and other foods
- Plan cooking schedules to have food ready on time but not too far in advance
