Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Demonstrated experience in food preparation and cooking, preferably in a healthcare or institutional setting

Job Duties

  • In this essential position, you will prepare nutritious and safe meals tailored to the dietary needs of our members, residents, and staff
  • Your efforts will have a direct impact on the health and well-being of individuals by ensuring that food quality, hygiene, and presentation adhere to rigorous healthcare standards
  • Working closely with dietitians, head chefs, and kitchen staff, you will help accommodate special dietary requirements while maintaining smooth kitchen operations
  • This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strict adherence to food safety regulations, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while bringing a positive attitude
  • You will play a key role in delivering compassionate care through the preparation of wholesome and appetizing meals each day
  • Prepare and cook meals according to established healthcare dietary guidelines and individual member needs
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas to meet health and safety standards
  • Assist the head chef in menu planning and food production, ensuring variety and nutritional balance
  • Manage food storage, inventory, and proper labeling to avoid contamination and waste
  • Effectively communicate with kitchen staff and healthcare professionals to meet special dietary requests and restrictions
