Job Requirements
- undergraduate or graduate education in hospital administration, public health administration, business or public administration with healthcare coursework
- progressively responsible analytical, administrative, clinical management or supervisory experience in healthcare
- experience in infection control programs including disease prevention, vaccination, transmission reduction, outbreak containment and evaluation
- ability to work under government regulations and healthcare standards
- strong communication and leadership skills
- no substitution of education for specialized experience
- must upload transcripts if education is used to qualify
- US accredited or pre-accredited degree
- typical experience in or related to the position
- one year of specialized experience at next lower grade level
- must meet selective placement factor
- applicants must clearly demonstrate infection control experience in resume
Job Qualifications
- Undergraduate or graduate education in hospital administration, public health administration, business or public administration with healthcare coursework
- Demonstrated experience in analytical, administrative, clinical management or supervisory roles in healthcare
- Knowledge of healthcare delivery systems, regulatory standards, and government administrative requirements
- Experience in quality assessment and improvement techniques
- Proven ability to recommend and implement policies for quality management
- Experience working in infection control programs related to vaccination and outbreak containment
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
Job Duties
- Oversee infection control programs to prevent infectious disease exposure
- Administer vaccinations and monitor vaccination programs
- Reduce transmission of infectious agents within correctional health facilities
- Contain and manage infectious outbreaks effectively
- Evaluate infection control programs to ensure compliance and efficacy
- Apply management and organizational principles to healthcare operations
- Coordinate with correctional and healthcare staff to ensure program compliance
