Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of five years food service supervisory experience in senior living or acute care setting
- Certified food protection manager certificate based on Maricopa County Food Code requirements
- Arizona fingerprint clearance card or willingness to obtain
- Ability to communicate effectively and empathize with residents families and team members
- Availability to work five days a week including some weekends and holidays with holiday pay
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of five years food service supervisory experience in senior living or acute care setting
- Certified food protection manager certificate based on Maricopa County Food Code
- Ability to communicate effectively understand and empathize with residents families visitors peers supervisors and subordinates
- Skilled in interpreting and explaining menu options addressing inquiries and managing dietary requests
- Availability to work five days a week including some weekends and occasional holidays with holiday pay
Job Duties
- Staff supervision to ensure employees follow procedures and complete training timely
- Step into various roles as needed to meet operational demands setting a positive example
- Participate in weekly leadership meetings and monthly department meetings presenting rotating topics
- Conduct operational rounds daily ensuring excellent customer service for residents staff and visitors
- Support Life Service staff by ensuring timely delivery of food requests
- Initiate maintenance requests when needed and communicate with supporting departments
- Participate in menu planning to meet needs and preferences of all served
- Complete new hire training instruct demonstrate and observe staff training
- Monitor staff attendance lateness and compliance with company policies
- Participate in regulatory surveys and inspections making corrections and implementing new oversight
- Assist with inventory management including requisitions PAR levels monthly inventory and emergency supplies
- Engage with residents families and visitors discussing menus preferences dining times and other matters
