Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, environmental science, industrial hygiene, construction management, or related field
- Minimum 7 years of HSE leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations
- Proven experience managing safety programs across multiple locations
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to travel regularly
- Physical ability to walk job sites, climb ladders, and lift up to 25 lbs
- Tolerance for varying weather conditions and active construction environments
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, environmental science, industrial hygiene, construction management, or related field
- 7+ years of HSE leadership experience in construction, industrial services, or related trades
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and construction safety regulations
- Experience leading safety programs across multiple job sites or locations
- Successful track record of incident reduction and safety culture improvement
- Excellent communication, training, and leadership skills
- Ability to travel regularly to job sites and company facilities
- Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to support growth initiatives and acquisition integration
- Professional certifications such as CSP, CHST, ASP, SMS, or CSHO preferred
- Experience in insulation contracting (mechanical, commercial, industrial) preferred
- Experience with safety management systems and digital reporting tools preferred
- Knowledge of workers' compensation and return-to-work programs preferred
Job Duties
- Develop and execute company HSE strategy across all operations
- Serve as primary HSE advisor to executive leadership and operational management
- Lead company-wide safety culture initiatives focusing on hazard awareness and employee engagement
- Establish annual safety goals, metrics, and performance standards
- Support acquisition initiatives with HSE onboarding and safety program assessments
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other regulations
- Oversee development and continual improvement of HSE policies, safe work practices, and job hazard analyses
- Lead and participate in safety audits, job-site inspections, and facility walkthroughs
- Manage subcontractor safety prequalification and onboarding
- Develop and deliver comprehensive safety training programs
- Lead all incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action implementation
- Maintain OSHA logs and workers' compensation reporting standards
- Identify emerging risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Analyze safety performance trends and prepare reports for leadership
- Collaborate with regional managers, operations leadership, and field supervisors
- Build relationships with customers and general contractors for compliance
- Participate in pre-job meetings and customer safety audits
