Job Requirements
- Hold an Arizona fingerprint clearance card or willingness to obtain one
- Experience in food service supervisory roles within senior living or acute care environments
- Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) certificate
- Ability to communicate clearly and empathetically
- Capacity to interpret and manage dietary preferences effectively
- Willingness to work required shifts including weekends and holidays
- Commitment to company policies and regulatory standards
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of five years of food service supervisory experience in senior living or acute care settings
- Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) certificate based on Maricopa County Food Code requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with residents, families, visitors, peers, supervisors, and subordinates
- Skilled in interpreting menu options, managing dietary requests, and coordinating meal service
- Availability to work five days a week including some weekends and occasional holidays with holiday pay
Job Duties
- Review new admissions and interact with residents, families, and visitors to gather feedback on menu preferences and dining experiences
- Supervise staff to ensure compliance with procedures, timely completion of training, and proper execution of cleaning duties
- Step into various roles as needed to meet operational demands and provide positive leadership
- Participate in weekly leadership meetings and monthly departmental meetings with rotating topic presentations
- Conduct multiple daily rounds to oversee operations and ensure excellent customer service
- Support Life Service staff in timely fulfillment and delivery of food requests
- Initiate maintenance requests and communicate with supporting departments to ensure smooth operations
- Collaborate in menu planning to meet nutritional needs and preferences of all residents
- Conduct new hire training, retrain existing staff, and cross-train employees in other operational areas
- Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, and adherence to company policies
- Assist in regulatory surveys, inspections, and mock inspections with corrective actions and new implementations
- Manage inventory and supply requisitions, maintain PAR levels, perform monthly inventory counts, and ensure emergency supplies are stocked
