Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of five years supervisory experience in food service within senior living or acute care settings
  • Certified food protection manager certificate based on Maricopa County Food Code
  • Arizona fingerprint clearance card or willingness to obtain one
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and some holidays
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain a positive work environment

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of food service supervisory experience in senior living or acute care
  • Certified food protection manager certificate
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and management
  • Skilled in menu interpretation and dietary request management
  • Experience in staff training and development
  • Knowledge of regulatory survey and inspection processes
  • Customer service and leadership skills
  • Availability to work five days a week including weekends and holidays with holiday pay

Job Duties

  • Review new admissions and engage with residents, family, and visitors regarding menus and dining preferences
  • Supervise staff ensuring procedures are followed, training is completed, and cleaning duties are fulfilled
  • Perform various roles as needed to meet operational demands and set a positive example for the team
  • Participate in weekly leadership meetings and present topics in monthly departmental meetings
  • Complete multiple operational rounds daily to ensure excellent customer service
  • Support Life Service staff by meeting and delivering food requests timely
  • Initiate maintenance requests when needed and communicate with supporting departments
  • Participate in menu planning to meet residents’ needs and preferences
  • Complete new hire training, retrain and cross-train staff as applicable
  • Monitor staff absences, lateness, and enforce company policies
  • Support regulatory surveys, inspections, and implement necessary corrective actions
  • Assist with food and supply requisitions, manage inventory and ensure emergency supplies are stocked
