Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum five years of supervisory experience in food service within senior living or healthcare
  • certified food protection manager certificate required
  • valid or eligible for Arizona fingerprint clearance card
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to work shifts between 7 AM and 7 PM including some weekends and holidays
  • capable of multitasking and managing operational demands
  • commitment to regulatory compliance and customer service excellence

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of food service supervisory experience in senior living or acute care settings
  • certified food protection manager (CFPM) certificate as per Maricopa County Food Code
  • hold or willingness to obtain an Arizona fingerprint clearance card
  • effective communication skills with residents, families and staff
  • ability to interpret and explain menu options and respond to dietary requests efficiently
  • availability to work five days a week including some weekends and holidays with holiday pay

Job Duties

  • Review resident and family interactions including admissions and dining preferences
  • supervise food service staff ensuring compliance and timely training completion
  • perform various operational roles to meet demands and lead by example
  • participate in leadership and departmental meetings presenting on relevant topics
  • ensure excellent customer service and operational oversight with multiple daily rounds
  • support life service staff by meeting all food requests promptly
  • initiate maintenance requests and coordinate with support departments
  • participate in menu creation to meet resident needs and preferences
  • complete new hire training and provide ongoing training and cross-training for existing staff
  • monitor staff attendance, compliance with company policies and support management accordingly
  • participate in regulatory surveys and inspections and implement necessary corrections
  • assist in inventory control by managing food and supply requisitions and ensuring emergency supplies are stocked
